Measuring tracking performance

Hi,
Is there a standard, industry-accepted or any quantifiable method to measure tracking performance in AR applications?

We are often asked to provide numbers on any improvements we make to software but this one (AR project) is a bit different than previous projects. Results are more based on perception than on data accuracy or speed.
